La Fonte, at the heart of Sogna, was restored in the early 1990’s under the vision of Fulvio Di Rosa, noted architect and engineer, who saw an opportunity to restore an entire traditional community that had largely been abandoned after the end of the Second World War. He oversaw the restoration of all the community using traditional materials well ensuring that the community was well integrated into the surrounding hilltop countryside. The community is landscaped with native and horticultural plantings and connected through a series of grassy, stone or gravel paths.
